About Me
Who I am
I'm Rosia Evans, I'm a programmer studying at a small university in Wales and soon to graduate! My work at university focuses on robotics but generally aims towards topics around agriculture and the environment. My major project/dissertation is on databases for seed-banks for example.

In terms of my work, most of it involves:
- Learning how robotics can work in real world environments
- Experimenting with how we can use computers in environmentally sustainable ways,
- Teaching myself to create low-power/high efficiency programs and robotics,
- Learning about ideas behind farming automation and how we can produce more food whilst keeping our methods sustainable, becoming an active member of communities such as TwistedFields,
I've been programming for most of my life. My main language is C++, but I also have multiple years of experience in C#, Python and Java and some loose experience in Typescript and C. I'm currently learning Hare which has been very exciting! My first foray into a clean and minimalist language with genuinely modern features that aren't just bloat!
Outside of work, most of my interests lie in politics and thinking up other ways we can live. This shows up in all sorts of ways from my repairing my own clothes to seeing how much I can cook from bare bone ingredients.
